Network changelog
#1.3.4 - 2026-10-14
- Network Manager is now called Network: the app, its page and its documentation. Old links lead to the new ones.
- Rules, history, settings and permissions stay as they were.
- The sibling apps go by their new names: Workspace and Manager.
#1.3.3 - 2026-10-13
- With more than one of the Mac apps open, their windows stack as one: pick Compact, Full Bars, Accordion or Separate Windows in the app menu › Stack Windows
- One page open at a time across the stack: opening a tab in one app folds the other's
- Search also finds what the other installed apps have, and opens it in its app
- About shows the other Mac apps, with Open or Get It
#1.3.2 - 2026-10-13
- The menu bar panel is redrawn: tiles, chips and menus of its own, and a fixed size that holds still while the numbers change
- A timeline of the last 5 minutes, 15 minutes or hour: each column shows the traffic down and up, the line's health and its events
- Hovering a column shows everything about it: traffic, average and peak rates, router and internet latency, jitter, lost pings, the busiest apps, connections opened and events
- The ping to the internet next to download and upload; Wi-Fi in the panel's footer
#1.3.1 - 2026-10-13
- Every button now has a tooltip that says what it does
- Text across the app uses plain hyphens
#1.3 - 2026-10-13

- The window opens with just the bar, every tab closed

- A fuller bug report form: kind, how often, steps to reproduce and what you expected

- Report a Bug: send a report with screenshots or logs from the app, and follow its status and replies under Your Reports
- Changelog inside the app, with every version and what changed
- Anonymous usage statistics, on by default; Settings › Send anonymous usage statistics turns them off
- The app menu has only About, Check for Updates and Quit; ⌘Q quits, ⌘W closes the window
#1.1.3 - 2026-10-12
- The menu bar shows the icon alone, at the same size as the other apps' icons; the traffic meter beside it is gone.
#1.1.2 - 2026-10-12
- Public IP and the leak tests ask Cloudflare and Team Cymru, so the public address and the network that owns it show again.
- The certificate inspector reads the system's OpenSSL output, with the chain, expiry dates and names.
- The speed test downloads and uploads in pieces Cloudflare accepts, so it measures the line.
- The location database download shows its progress.
#1.1.1 - 2026-10-12
- The map leaves out servers without a known place, and says what to do when this Mac can't be placed.
- Reports, the Wi-Fi security audit, the DNS and VPN leak tests and the device topology read this Mac.
- The DNS leak test asks the internet which resolver actually answers for this Mac.
#1.1 - 2026-10-12
- Reads this Mac: every connection with its process, bytes, state and round-trip time, once a second, without administrator rights.
- Who each process is: path, bundle, user, parent chain, arguments, signature chain, Team ID, entitlements, SHA-256 and where it came from.
- Listening ports, interfaces with counters, router, DHCP, DNS, routes, the ARP table, the Wi-Fi radio and nearby networks.
- VPNs, network locations, proxies, saved Wi-Fi networks and the hosts file read from the system; devices found through the ARP table, a ping sweep and Bonjour.
- The tools run for real: ping, traceroute, port scan, speed test, bufferbloat, MTU, lookup with WHOIS, HTTP, certificates and more.
- A location database (DB-IP Lite), downloaded on request, places servers on the map and in the dossier.
- Settings › Data Source switches between this Mac and sample data. The firewall does not filter yet.
#1.0.2 - 2026-10-12
- The dossier of a connection: who made it, what it is, how it travels, to whom, what goes through it and why it was allowed, in eight tabs.
- Content inspection for chosen apps, with headers, bodies, cookies and the identifiers sent, and its section in Settings.
- Monitor › Processes: every process with a socket, with its lineage, user, signature and connections.
- Monitor › Streams: HTTP transactions, DNS exchanges and broadcasts, record by record.
- Everything still shown over sample data.
#1.0 - 2026-10-11
- First preview: the whole interface over sample data.
- Dashboard, Monitor with a world map, Firewall with alerts and rules, Devices, Wi-Fi, Interfaces, DNS, Tools and Settings.
- Menu bar control panel with a live traffic meter.
- Nothing on the Mac is changed, filtered or scanned.
